Steven has become Patron of the Wilkie Colins Society

The writing of the Victorian novelist Wilkie Collins has been a passion of mine for many many years. He’s wonderful! In addition to his most famous works, The Woman in White and The Moonstone, I’d highly recommend Armadale (my personal favourite, even if the beginning is slightly hard going) and No Name; and only slightly less wonderful are Heart and Science, and The Law and the Lady. More than 30 years ago, my late wife Pauline gave me a gift membership of the Wilike Collins Society; I’ve avidly devoured everything they’ve sent me since! So I am delighted to have been invited to be one of the two patrons (along with Matthew Sweet) of this valuable organisation.
